LYNN SWEEPS FAU IN THE BATTLE OF BOCA

For years, FAU had Lynn Hockey’s number. Not anymore. The Fighting Knights blew out the Owls in a weekend series, winning 9-4 on Friday, October 2 and 10-2 on Saturday, October 3.

The victories take the Fighting Knights to 4-2 on this early part of the ACHA season.

“I thought the boys played fantastic” said head coach Chris Sander, in his first year with Lynn after a stint at the University of Missouri. “They kept their foot on the gas and they didn’t let up. This is a hockey team on the upward trend and no team should be taking us lightly.”

Freshman goalie Peter Demetriou was named Player of the Game on Friday, and sophomore forward Cole Ladas was given the honor Saturday.

The Fighting Knights are back in action for Parents and Families Weekend on Friday, October 16 at 8:00 pm vs. St. Leo and Saturday, October 17 at 7:00 pm vs. Florida Tech. Both games are at Lynn’s home, Palm Beach Skate Zone in Lake Worth.
